As the COVID-19 situation rapidly evolves, Jet City Animal Clinic is continuing to adapt our work practices to protect our team, clients and community. Our goal is to be able to continue to provide urgent care for your four-legged family while being responsible to our community.

As of Saturday, March 21st, until further notice, we are restricting access to our lobby and adjusting our check-in and check-out procedures to keep our hospital team and clients safe during this pandemic.

We ask that all non-essential appointments, ie. wellness exams/vaccines, grooming appointments, etc., be postponed. If you have an urgent need for vaccines or grooming, we will discuss it with you and advise you from there. We will be rescheduling all non-urgent/elective surgical or dentistry appointments as well. If you are currently on our schedule for such appointments in the next two weeks, we will be contacting you to discuss the best plan of action for you and pets.
When you call us with concerns about your pets or think they need to be seen, we will guide you through making that decision. If there are some things we could try prior to bringing them in, we will advise you about options. If we make a decision together that they should be seen, we will care for them.

We want you to be assured we are here for you and want your pets to be healthy and cared for in the best way possible. For pets that need care due to sickness or injuries, we’d like to implement the following procedures, until further notice.

We kindly ask that you follow the below steps for the safety of all:

  • If you are healthy and have an appointment, upon arrival at our clinic, PLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE AND CALL US (OR AT THE DOOR IF YOU’RE ON FOOT). After receipt of the call, we will check-in your pet as soon as possible from outside of the clinic (at the door/near your vehicle keeping social distancing in mind). We kindly ask that you remain in your car (or drop your pet off) during the entire time your pet is receiving medical care at our facility. The doctor will call you to discuss symptoms/concerns, the exam findings and treatment options.
  • If you need to pick up food or medicationPLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE AND CALL US (OR AT THE DOOR IF YOU’RE ON FOOT). We will coordinate payment with you over the phone and deliver the order to the door/parking lot as soon as possible.
  • If your pet requires urgent care or has a medical emergencyand you are ill or experiencing flu-like symptoms, please make arrangements with a friend or family member to bring in the pet for you. We kindly ask that you call us ahead of time to make appropriate arrangements and follow the above guidelines.

Veterinary medicine is rarely a one-size-fits-all profession. We recognize that this system may not be effective for all clients and patients. If you feel this flow will not be possible, please call to discuss alternative options. Our goal is to maintain as many healthy people as possible. We cannot care for our pets if we are not well ourselves.

The team at Jet City Animal Clinic feels incredibly fortunate to work with such a passionate, smart, dedicated group of clients, we so often refer to as our medical family. Thank you for your commitment to your pet’s health. We will be continuously re-evaluating the best way to provide urgent care to our pets in this community as this situation evolves. Please stay tuned for further updates.
